Kusadasi is de aan zee gelegen vakantiestad in Turkije is enorm gegroeid de afgelopen 30 jaar en is speciaal populair bij Turkse all inclusive vakanties vanuit Europa. Kusadasi is gegroeid Van 6000 bewoners in 1970 tot ongeveer 50.000 bewoners nu. Hoewel een groot deel hiervan wel alleen in de zomer aanwezig is. Vele cruiseschepen die door de Egeische zee reizen, stoppen in de cruisehaven van Kusadasi. Deze cruiseschepen stoppen hier omdat het dichtbij Efeze en Selcuk ligt. De stad is een goede basis om deze en andere oude steden in Turkije als Priene en Didyma te bezoeken.
Ondanks dat er weinig van historische interesse in Kusadasi zelf is, is de stad toch populair door de vele hotels, restaurants, souvenir- en kleding winkels en het bruisende nachtleven. Daarnaast heeft het Kale district van Kusadasi enkele oude traditionele huizen en smalle straten en geeft een indicatie van hoe de stad er vroeger uitgezien heeft. Kusadasi bezit enkele mooie zandstranden. De stad bezit zowel dichtbevolkte en rustige stranden. Op de meeste stranden is een ruime keus te vinden aan watersporten en overal kunt u genieten van gezellige strandtenten. Kusadasi heeft een typisch Turks mediterraan klimaat met hete zomers en milde winters dat voor een lang toeristen seizoen zorgt.

Stranden Kusadasi

Gelegen aan de Egeïsche Zee beschikt Kusadasi en omgeving over prachtige stranden. De stranden van Kusadasi zijn, op het strand in het Kalamaki natuurpark na, allemaal zandstranden. In het centrum, vlak naast de jachhaven, bevindt zich het enige strand van de stad zelf. Iets van het oude centrum vandaan, het gebied waar de meeste hotels zijn, bevindt zich de Ladies Beach. Dit is het bekendste strand van Kusadasi.

Het vliegveld dat het dichtstbij Kusadasi in de buurt ligt is het vliegveld van Izmir. Vanaf Izmir kan je op verschillende manieren naar Kusadasi reizen, waarbij het huren van een auto een aanrader is. Er zijn voldoende, betrouwbare, verhuurmaatschappijen gevestigd op het vliegveld van Izmir. Met de auto doe je er ongeveer een uur over om naar het centrum van Kusadasi te rijden.
